"March" for Movement!

Why not start the month of March with more movement? Commit with me, to add more movement in March! We'll be in this together!

As we all know, a huge part of keeping healthy is moving more. Whether you like to work out with weights, swim, walk, run, practice yoga, tai chi, ... whatever it may be, we all need it. Today, on the first of March, I made a commitment to myself - with the help of a trainer. (I believe that if we don't have accountability to what we commit to, we easily slip back into our ordinary lifestyles.) I committed to 10,000 steps each day - and started a small workout program designed just for me by my trainer. When I say small, I mean small. I'll work up to more in the months to come, but for now, it's something and I'm excited. I will admit, I do not like working out. I do however, love to walk and swim. We are all unique in our own special way. There has to be something inside of you that desires to move more. I have a friend who is going to ballroom dancing each week - she LOVES it! I am so happy that she found something she loves and that also provides movement for her body. Be creative and make those commitments.
